"Maybe center stage is overrated. On his new tape SHADOWS, Loman chooses moonlight over the spotlight, letting his twinkling selection of late-night beats illuminate the room. The new project from the Cambridge artist and producer dropped earlier this week (October 16), effusing a mystical atmosphere for inky fall evenings. Fuzzy cover art fittingly captures a crate-digging session at Somerville’s Vinyl Index: Head down, album titles obscured, details barely visible. Darkness encroaches on the edges of the frame — a harbinger of the eight shimmering shadows that comprise Loman’s project."
